I have found it amusing to watch the outrage by progressives at alleged Russian hacking when, in fact, there was no widespread (if any at all) outrage at confirmed Chinese hacking (see here) in June of 2015. (Note: This site clearly debunks the FBI/DHS claim - Department of Homeland Security / FBI Claim of Russian Hacking is Fake News) I guess hacking is only bad if progressives lose elections and thereby their power.
I also find it hard to believe how anyone still believes in the "fake" left-right political paradigm. I suppose decades of fake news will have this effect. Regardless, I highly recommend Charles Hugh-Smith's post. He directly takes down the "progressives" and their complete hypocrisy:

Look, I know you want to "do the right thing." You want to encourage and support truth, justice, self-determination and liberty. To follow your better instincts, you're going to have to admit that you've been conned, and that you've been a loyal passive puppet of an Evil Empire.
The "right thing to do" is to recognize the Neocon-Neoliberal Empire as the enemy of truth, justice, self-determination and liberty and withdraw your consent.

We need to pull together, not self-divide into ever more fractious camps. The oldest and most successful Imperial strategy is divide and conquer. Don't fall for it.
Hopefully, Charles' solution to pull together happens soon although I don't think you can include the likes of Paul Krugman.
